The NDC MPs have returned to the chamber for the State of the Nation Address by President Akufo-Addo to commence.

The minority members of parliament had earlier staged a protest to boycott the State of the Nation Address (SONA) by President Akufo-Addo, having absented themselves from the chamber.

According to TV3’s Komla Kluste, five members of the NDC MPs, amongst other things, confirmed that they are not pleased with the President’s failure to sign the private members bill passed by parliament.

Also, they raised concerns about the President’s failure to dismiss the governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Ernest Addison for describing the minority MPs as hooligans during the OccupyBoG demonstration. They are also protesting the delay in the release of the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).
