Ghana’s swimming sensation, Abeiku Jackson, has advanced to the final of the Men’s 100m Butterfly at the ongoing 2023 African Games, presenting Ghana with another promising opportunity to secure a medal.

The captain of the Ghana National Swimming Team showcased his prowess by finishing first in heat 3 on Monday morning, clocking the best time across all three heats with an impressive 54.17 seconds.

This achievement comes on the heels of Jackson’s remarkable silver medal win on Sunday in the Men’s 50m Freestyle at the Borteyman Sports Complex’s Aquatic Centre.

With four medals already secured for Ghana, including Jackson’s silver, hopes are high for additional successes.

Abeiku Jackson’s stellar performance adds to the earlier heroics by weightlifter Winnifred Ntumi, who clinched Ghana’s first three medals at the competition, including a gold.

As the nation eagerly anticipates the Men’s 100m Butterfly final at 17:30 GMT on Monday, Ghana remains optimistic about adding more medals to its tally at the 13th African Games.
