Renowned Gospel Musician, Sonnie Badu has shared the struggles he experienced when he travelled to the United Kingdom for the first time.

The gospel singer said after he was convinced by one pastor to come to the UK to support him in God’s work, he was left devastated and alone after he was thrown out of the pastor’s home.

Recounting his story as a motivation to a church congregation, Sonnie Badu said life was unbearable back then and hardly fed in a day.

He noted that he was homeless and resorted to sleeping in a car for a while and sometimes on the streets of London in the cold weather.

According to him, hunger forced him to steal food items from people’s fridges when they are away from home.

“I have struggled in life. I was homeless in London. I slept in one car for a while. Sometimes I have to walk in the cold for five hours at night. At some point I would wait for people to leave home then I would steal some food items from their fridge. I was finding it difficult to feed,” Sonnie Badu recounted.
