Assemblyman blames NPP appointee for poor market conditions at Ehiamankyene
Bossoh George, the Assemblyman for Ehiamankyene Electoral Area, in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region has raised concerns about neglect in his community.
According to Mr. Bossoh, an NPP appointee has refused to work with him because of his political affiliation with the NDC.
In an interview with Radioneghana.com, Mr. Bossoh said the appointee announced in front of a church that he would not collaborate with him due to their political differences.
”I will not work with him because he is a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member so I will not work with him, that’s what Sakora said”, Mr. Bossoh said in Twi.

This lack of cooperation has left the community struggling with basic needs, especially in the local market. The Assemblyman pointed out that the market is in poor condition and very dirty, even though it is a key place for trade. People from various parts of the country visit Ehiamekyene on market days, which are held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Mr. Bossoh also revealed that the workers responsible for cleaning the market, employed by Zoomlion, have stopped their duties because they are not being paid: “the zoomlion people have stopped cleaning the market because they don’t pay them”.
As a result, the market remains filthy, impacting the health and well-being of the community.
The Assemblyman further expressed frustration that he was not informed or involved in decisions about the market’s construction, despite being the elected representative of the community.
He feels his exclusion from important decisions is affecting the overall development of Ehiamankyene.
”Because I am an NDC member they don’t inform or include me in any decisions they make about the community,” he added.
