A looming scandal at the National Service Scheme(NSS) is set to be exposed by a team of Journalists in the coming days is expected to leave Ghanaians in shock over the state looting and underhand dealings.

Sulemana Braimah is the Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) who gave a hint of the impending scandal earlier this week and promised it would be explosive.

Though he did not give details as to the nature of the scandal, it is gathered that it involves some finances and diversion of money using cloned identities.

“NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME: The Numbers, the goro boys, ghipss, E- Switch and the looting”, he wrote.

The hint of what to expect comes weeks after where he indicated that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will be shocked with ghosts names still in payment systems of government.

Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, had reiterated government’s dedication to resolving the persistent issue of “ghost names” on the public payroll. These fraudulent entries, which have siphoned off public funds for years, continue to be a focus of reform in the effort to improve financial management and restore public trust.

Dr Bawumia during a campaign tour, highlighted that the government has been systematically addressing the problem by continuously scrutinizing the payroll database to ensure its integrity.

He emphasised that only legitimate and authorised employees should benefit from government payments, and the process of removing “ghost names” is ongoing to safeguard public resources.

But in response, Mr Sulemana Braimah wrote “Yooo. What is coming up from National Service and others, will shock you”
