Former President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that all appointees in his next government will be required to declare their assets as part of his commitment to transparency and accountability.

Speaking in an interview on Sunrise FM, monitored by RadioOneGhana.com, Mr. Mahama emphasized the importance of ethical governance and the need to restore public trust in leadership.

“In my next government, every appointee will declare their assets. This will be non-negotiable and a key step in ensuring transparency and fighting corruption,” he stated.

The former president noted that such measures are essential for maintaining integrity in public office and preventing the misuse of state resources.

He also highlighted his previous efforts to promote good governance during his tenure, adding that this policy would form part of broader reforms to strengthen institutions and uphold accountability.
