Former Black Maidens coach, Robbert Sackey has called for a layoff in the Black Stars technical team to see Ghana make it to the 2026 World Cup which will be jointly hosted by USA, Mexico, and Canada.
After a disappointing and poor performance at the 2025 Afcon qualifiers which has left the Black stars out of the Morocco 2025 Afcon, Robbert Sackey believes coach Otto Addo and his technical staff are not experienced enough to manage Black stars and that’s why the current Black stars team is underperforming.
“If the Black Stars coach is not changed, it will be very difficult to qualify for the World Cup”, Sackey said.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council will meet coach Otto Addo on 27th November 2024, Wednesday. The meeting will decide Otto Addo’s future as the Black Stars coach.
