Former Finance Minister Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta and Senior Presidential Advisor Hon. Yaw Osafo-Maafo visited Abompe and Samang to engage with traditional leaders and party supporters.
During the visit, Ofori-Atta addressed concerns about the long-standing poor state of the Abompe road in Fanteakwa South Constituency.
He explained that the road construction began in 1962 under the leadership of his father, Hon. Jonas Ofori, but was never completed. “You may ask what Abompe has done to deserve this, but I assure you that we will complete this road before the elections,” he stated.
Ofori-Atta further revealed that he had secured funding from the Bank of Ghana to expedite the road project, ensuring the contractor would resume work promptly.

He urged the people of Abompe to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to secure Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidency, emphasizing the party’s achievements, such as the Free SHS program, which has enabled over 3 million children to access education.
Additionally, he encouraged them to vote for Duke Ofori-Atta as their Member of Parliament, promising enhanced development for the constituency under his leadership.
