Ofosu-Ampofo and siblings launches foundation to support brilliant but needy students
Honorable Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo (former NDC national chairman) and siblings launched an educational Endowment Fund at Akyem Adukrom to support brilliant but needy students in Akyem Adukrom M/A basic school to further their secondary education in remembrance of their late mother, Mary Gyaubea Badu.
“50,000 Ghana cedis was donated to support this brilliant but needy student to continue their education in the town,” said the board chair Mr. Fred Onumah Asamoah.
He also made it clear that the Fund is for students who want to continue their education, whether vocational, technical, or senior high.
The head of the school, Mrs Cynthia Larbi, admitted that most students don’t further their secondary education due to a lack of financial support. This Endowment Fund will help most students continue their secondary education. It will also motivate the students to sit and learn very hard.
