2024 Elections: Here is how to vote without voter’s Identification Card

All eligible voters who have misplaced their voter cards will still be able to cast ballots in the election scheduled for December 7, 2024, according to the Electoral Commission (EC).
In an interview with Accra-based Citi FM, Fred Tetteh, EC’s Deputy Head of Research, provided the guarantee, easing concerns about potential disenfranchisement.
In his explanation of the procedures for these voters, Mr. Tetteh stated that they could go to their polling place and successfully cast their ballot following verification.
To guarantee a seamless process, he pointed out that the EC’s system includes comprehensive data of every voter who is registered.

“However, if a voter cannot find his/her voter card on this day, you don’t need to worry, just walk into the polling station, provided you are sure it is your polling station.
“Whether you have the card or you don’t have the card, all that is needed is your fingerprints, your face. Just show up your face and your fingers and that is enough,” he explained.
