Youth Showcase Civic Knowledge @ 68th Ghana Independence Quiz in Fanteakwa South

In a thrilling display of civic awareness, students from four junior high schools in Fanteakwa South District gathered at the Church of Pentecost Central Assembly in Osino to compete in the 68th Ghana Independence quiz. The event, organized by the National Commission For Civic Education (NCCE), brought together brilliant young minds from Roman Catholic JHS, Reminant JHS, D/A JHS, and Kwampaw Preparatory JHS.
The students showcased their knowledge of Ghana’s history, government, and culture, answering questions that tested their understanding of these critical areas. Madam Patricia Benuyenah, the District Education Human Resource director, praised the NCCE for hosting this vital educational event, emphasizing its significance in fostering civic awareness among the youth.
After four intense rounds of quizzing, D/A JHS emerged victorious, demonstrating exceptional knowledge and teamwork. The District Director, Kwadwo Adu-Asare, congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to continue exploring civic education content on the NCCE’s social media platforms.
This quiz competition celebrated Ghana’s 68th Independence Day and highlighted the importance of civic education in shaping informed and engaged citizens. As Ghana continues to grow and develop, events like these play a vital role in empowering the next generation of leaders.
The event which took place at 10:12am came to a close at 1:24pm on 14th March 2025.
