Opare Gyan, a NDC regional communication team member, spoke on the Radio1 Morning Show about how politicians should treat one another. He stressed that politics should not divide people to the point where you feel you cannot work or relate with them just because someone belongs to the NPP or NDC.
He stated, “Does it mean if you are a Muslim you should not have a Christian friend or what, we should respect each other and be friends?”
He added, “You don’t decide who should be your friend in a certain area, or you don’t need to choose someone who you deserve to play with, besides you don’t know where you will get benefit.”
Opare Gyan also pointed out that, “Kwasi Ampofo, who is a NDC member, but he is a friend to the former president Nana Addo this so that you can make friends with a different party.”

He went on to say, “During the Kwahu Easter convention, when President Mahama met the former president Nana Addo, they were all happy to see each other, but they are from different political parties.”
He explained further that, “you can use your energy to support them, if you become a president, minister or DCE, you cannot say, you don’t want to work with NPP or NDC, besides you alone cannot rule.”
He ended by saying, “Fanteakwa South current MP is an NPP, and DCE will also be NDC, can you say these two different parties should not work together? The answer is a big no, all they can do is to share ideas and bring development to the country.”
