Your immaturity and indiscipline will not earn you a place in NDC – Adwoa Safo told

Editor of the Daily Democrat, Mr. Opare Gyan, made a statement on Radio 1’s morning show, Oman Mu Nsem, regarding the former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Sarah Adwoa Safo. He remarked, “Adwoa Safo is not mature in terms of politics.”

Speaking further, Mr. Emmanuel Opare Gyan stated, “I will be happy if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) sacks Sarah Adwoa Safo from the party because, according to me, she is not disciplined at all.”

He elaborated, “If the former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, had been the Minister of Interior, Minister of Defence, or Minister for National Security, would she be making such statements now? Just listen to how she speaks about the school feeding program and other matters. Does she understand that people in higher positions have had their roles taken away from them? As a good politician, there are certain things she should not disclose.”

Furthermore, he added, “Our elders are not fools for advising us not to wash our dirty linen in public. There are things that should not be discussed openly. This is the same mistake that Allotey Jacobs and some others made, which led to their expulsion from the NDC, but the NPP accepted them.”

Mr. Opare Gyan concluded by saying, “If Sarah Adwoa Safo thinks that by doing this, she will gain favor from the ruling party, it will not work because the NDC will not accept her. She should go and form her own party like Alan Kyerematen did. We in the NDC do not need Sarah Adwoa Safo. She should understand that politics is not just about receiving benefits from a party. If you face challenges, you must remain in the party and move on.”
