Hannah Tamatey, a volunteer with Disability and Social Development Advocacy Africa, also known as Positive Impact, has shed light on the numerous challenges faced by persons with disabilities in Ghana.
Speaking on Radio1’s morning show, she noted that many disabled individuals continue to face barriers in education, employment, and access to public facilities.
“Despite efforts by government and civil society, persons with disabilities are still marginalized. Accessibility and inclusion remain major concerns,” she stated.
Ms. Tamatey called for stronger policies and greater societal support to ensure that persons with disabilities can live with dignity and equal opportunities.
