The Wildlife Division has issued a strong warning to the public against the unlawful killing of animals, particularly those that are endangered or nearing extinction.

Speaking on Radio 1’s environmental program, “Our Land, Our Future,” Mr. Robert Koomson, a representative of the Wildlife Division, stressed the importance of obtaining the proper license before hunting any animal.

“It is illegal to kill wild animals without a license. This is especially serious when it involves species that are endangered or going extinct. Offenders risk arrest and prosecution,” he cautioned.

Mr. Koomson urged communities to support wildlife conservation efforts and protect Ghana’s natural heritage for future generations.
