Mr. Attapaiah Korang, President of Save the Nation for Future Leaders, has called on Ghanaians to put an end to illegal mining activities, commonly known as galamsey, in order to preserve the environment for future generations.
Speaking on Radio 1’s morning show, Mr. Korang emphasized the critical importance of protecting the land, stressing that it is the source of both food and water.
“If we destroy our land through galamsey, we are destroying our future. Gold is valuable, but not at the expense of our environment, our water, and our lives,” he said.
He urged all stakeholders, especially the youth, to join in the fight against illegal mining and support sustainable practices that ensure the survival of Ghana’s natural resources.
