Armed robbers raid Hills Oil Filling Station at Akyem Old Tafo

Armed robbers have attacked the Hills Oil Filling Station at Akyem Old Tafo in the Eastern Region, making away with GH¢10,350 in cash, several mobile phones, and the station’s CCTV server. Radiooneghana.com report,

The robbery occurred on Monday around 7:00 p.m.

According to the manager of the station, Seth Koranteng, the assailants, wielding firearms, stormed the premises and ordered staff at gunpoint to hand over their belongings and sales for the day.

The robbers reportedly took the CCTV server, which is believed to contain footage that could help identify them.

The case has since been reported to the police, and investigations are underway.

Filling stations in Akyem Tafo and nearby Akyem Osiem have recently become targets of similar robbery attacks.
