NDC Canada Chapter Visits The Seat Of The President

Mr. Gameli Atakuma, the NDC Canada Chapter chairman, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to the President’s office yesterday, October 8, 2025.

The delegation was received by Hon. Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, a presidential Advisor and the political advisor to the Vice President, H.E. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.

In their warm interaction, the chapter chairman, on behalf of the chapter, expressed the chapter’s satisfaction with the government in the first ten months of the administration and drew the government’s attention to the need to extend opportunities to his party members in Canada. Dr. Ofosu Ampofo encouraged the party to intensify its membership drive efforts and reiterated the attractiveness of the NDC in the Diaspora

Prof. Victor Wutor, President of Pro Forum Canada, praised the government’s people-centered policies, citing the recent appreciation of the Ghana Cedi as evidence of sound economic management. He commended the president for his exemplary leadership, saying that

the country is going through a transformation. He also stressed the need for the government to tap into the rich, talented professionals in Canada to help build our economy

On his part, MR. Ramsey Apau, the branch organizer for Toronto, appreciated the government efforts to strengthen youth and asked that more investment is channeled their way through government scholarships for the students and the youth in Canada, this call was backed by Mr. Frank Opoku the Chapter Youth Organiser, a Council of Elders, Mr. Sam Appiah, in his remarks, urged the party to always stay united at all times. Mr. Otto Akatey, ProForum treasurer, indicated the need to involve the diaspora in governance.
