Abuakwa South MCE Announces Plan to Build 24-Hour Market at Akyem Asafo

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Abuakwa South, Hon. Addo Aikins, has announced plans to construct a 24-hour market at Akyem Asafo in the Abuakwa South Municipality.

Speaking on Radio 1, 100.7 FM, during a morning show hosted by Nana Kwabena Addo, the MCE disclosed that the modern market facility will be equipped with key amenities, including a police post, a hotel, and over 600 stores.

According to him, the project is expected to significantly boost economic activities within the municipality, create employment opportunities, and improve trading conditions for traders and residents.

Hon. Addo Aikins noted that the initiative forms part of the government’s resetting agenda, aimed at revitalising local economies and improving livelihoods.

He assured residents that the Assembly is fully committed to the successful implementation of the project for the benefit of the constituency and the municipality at large.
