The second edition of the Akyem Ankaase Gyadam Homecoming was climaxed on Saturday, December 13, 2025, with a strong focus on campaigning against the use of illicit drugs.
The event, held at Akyem Ankaase in the Atiwa East Municipality of the Eastern Region, attracted hundreds of participants, predominantly youth from the community and its environs.

Speaking to the media, the convener of the event, Champion TM, described the programme as successful, noting that drug-related activities in the community have reduced drastically since the first edition. He encouraged residents, especially those living outside the community, to visit home regularly to help promote peace, unity, and harmony.

Champion TM also cautioned participants against returning home late after events for security reasons. He further advised the public to remain vigilant when drinking in public places, citing reported cases of poisoning. According to him, individuals should ensure they finish their drinks before leaving a table or carry them along to prevent possible harm.
