A member of the NDC Eastern Regional Communication Team, Mr. Kofi Odame, has rated the performance of President John Dramani Mahama at 85 percent after one year in office, describing it as unprecedented.

Speaking on Radio 1, 100.7 FM, during the morning current affairs program “Oman mu Nsem”, hosted by Nana Kwabena Addo, popularly known as “Mr. President on Radio”, Mr. Odame said the President’s performance within his first year has been remarkable. According to him, President Mahama has demonstrated strong leadership and sound economic management, citing the reduction of inflation to single digits and a noticeable decline in the cost of living as key achievements under the current administration.

Mr. Odame attributed these successes to prudent economic measures, including the reduction of reckless government expenditure, controlled borrowing, and effective coordination by the economic management team, whom he commended for a job well done.

He also praised the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GOLDBOD, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, describing the Gold Board as a game changer in Ghana’s economic reset agenda.

Additionally, Mr. Odame noted that the government has reduced what he described as nuisance taxes, including the E-levy, emissions levy, and betting tax, thereby easing the financial burden on Ghanaians.

He concluded by appealing to citizens to support President Mahama’s resetting agenda, stressing that it is crucial for achieving sustainable economic transformation and national development.
