The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Abuakwa South, Hon. Addo Akins Jnr, has dismissed claims suggesting a strained relationship between himself and the Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa South Constituency, Hon. Kingsley Agyemang.
Speaking during a radio program, Hon. Addo Akins Jnr described the assertions as false, emphasizing that he maintains a very cordial working relationship with the MP, despite their different political affiliations. He noted that Hon. Kingsley Agyemang is “a brother from a different mother” and urged the public to disregard such rumors.
According to the MCE, the nature of their respective positions requires collaboration rather than partisan division. He stressed that political differences will not be allowed to impede development, adding that both he and the MP are committed to working together to advance the growth and transformation of the Abuakwa South Municipality. Hon. Addo Akins Jnr also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all Assembly Members for their continuous support throughout the year, particularly in efforts aimed at advancing President John Dramani Mahama’s resetting agenda.
He concluded by extending his Christmas goodwill message to residents of the municipality, wishing them a peaceful and joyous festive season. He further advised the public to celebrate responsibly and to avoid excessive alcohol consumption before, during, and after the Christmas festivities.
