Bosuso Youth Association Celebrates Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo’s Contributions to Community Development

The Bosuso Youth Association in the Fanteakwa South District has honored Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, former Eastern Regional Minister, in recognition of his immense contributions to community development and youth empowerment in the district.
The Association, which seeks to champion development initiatives in Bosuso and its surrounding communities, presented the honor during the inauguration of an 11-member committee to steer the affairs of the group.

Presenting the citation, the outgoing President of the Association, Mr. Maxwell Narh, commended Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo for his lifelong commitment to public service and sustained support for the Bosuso community, particularly in the areas of development and youth empowerment.
The citation highlighted Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo’s exemplary leadership, dating back to his tenure as District Chief Executive of Fanteakwa, through his various ministerial and party leadership roles. It praised his mentorship, dedication to youth development, community empowerment, personal support, and advocacy efforts that have strengthened local capacity and inspired many young leaders in the district.
Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo, who currently serves as Presidential Advisor at the Office of the Vice President and Board Chairman of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), has previously held several key positions, including Member of Parliament for the Fanteakwa Constituency, Minister for Local Government, and Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In his response, Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo expressed gratitude to the Association for the recognition and donated GH¢5,000 to support its activities.
He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing development in Bosuso, with particular focus on education, youth empowerment, and community infrastructure development.
