Ghana, India Reaffirm Strong Ties as High Commissioner Concludes Tour of Duty

The High Commissioner of India to Ghana, His Excellency Manish Gupta, has paid a farewell call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), following the completion of his tour of duty in the country. The meeting took place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

During the engagement, the Minister commended the High Commissioner for his role in strengthening Ghana–India relations, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, health, agriculture and education.

Hon. Ablakwa also acknowledged the Government of India’s support for Ghana’s capacity-building efforts, including the establishment of the Foreign Service Institute, and reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to further deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

In response, Mr. Gupta expressed appreciation to the Government and people of Ghana for the cooperation received during his tenure and reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations for mutual benefit.
