The Member of Parliament for Upper West Akim, Emmanuel Kwesi Drah, has reaffirmed his commitment to collaboration with local authorities as a key driver of development in the constituency.
Addressing recent speculation regarding his relationship with the District Chief Executive (DCE), the MP dismissed claims of any rift and urged the public to disregard such reports.
“Let me set the record straight — I have a good working relationship with her. The public should reject claims that suggest otherwise; they are not true,” he stated.
Hon. Drah explained that the strong cooperation between his office and the District Assembly has facilitated the successful execution of several community-based projects. These include road rehabilitation works, water supply initiatives, renovations in schools, and upgrades to local health facilities.

According to him, the partnership has played a crucial role in accelerating development efforts and improving living conditions for residents across Upper West Akim.
Some residents who spoke to the media also praised the collaborative approach, noting that effective coordination between the MP and the DCE has resulted in faster service delivery and more visible developmental impact.
They expressed optimism that the continued partnership will sustain and expand ongoing initiatives aimed at advancing progress in the constituency.
