Accra, February 7, 2026 — The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has strongly condemned alleged acts of inducement and vote buying reported during the party’s parliamentary primaries in the Ayawaso East Constituency.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the National Executive Committee of the party said its attention had been drawn to widespread incidents of bribery, allegedly carried out by some aspirants seeking to influence the outcome of the primaries.

The party described the reported conduct as a blatant violation of its core values and principles, and a direct contradiction of the reset agenda it is currently championing.

“The NDC unequivocally condemns these acts, which undermine internal democracy and the integrity of our electoral processes,” the statement said.

The statement was signed by the General Secretary of the party, Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey.
