Residents of Upper West Akim Constituency have commended their Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Kwesi Drah, for what they describe as significant development strides across the area.
In interviews with the media, community members highlighted several projects undertaken within the past month, noting that the interventions have brought visible transformation to many parts of the constituency.
Among the key projects cited is an extensive road rehabilitation programme, which has seen major roads resurfaced to improve transportation and enhance accessibility for residents, farmers, and traders.
Access to potable water has also been strengthened through the installation of new boreholes and water facilities in communities that previously faced challenges in securing clean water.

In the education sector, new classroom blocks have been constructed, existing facilities renovated, and learning materials supplied to improve teaching and learning conditions at both basic and secondary school levels.
Healthcare delivery has similarly received a boost, with upgrades to local clinics and the provision of essential medical supplies to enhance service delivery.
Additionally, new community centres have been established to serve as hubs for youth and women’s groups, fostering social engagement, skills development, and community empowerment.
Residents say the projects have not only improved their quality of life but also renewed confidence in local leadership. Many expressed optimism that further transformative initiatives will be rolled out in the coming months under the stewardship of the MP.
