28 Health Training Boards Inaugurated to Improve Healthcare Delivery

The Deputy Minister for Health, Grace Ayensu-Danquah, has inaugurated and sworn in 28 advisory boards for health training institutions across Ghana’s Middle Belt, reaffirming government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery through quality training and institutional governance.

At the ceremony, she underscored the critical role of advisory boards in ensuring effective management, policy guidance, and accountability within health training institutions. She noted that the boards are expected to support the implementation of strategic policies, promote academic excellence, and ensure that training programmes are aligned with the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.

She further emphasised that strengthening health training institutions remains a key priority for the government, as it seeks to build a competent, skilled, and responsive health workforce capable of addressing emerging health challenges and improving service delivery nationwide.

The Deputy Minister charged members of the newly inaugurated boards to discharge their duties with integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility, adding that their contributions will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare education in the country.

The inauguration forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Health to deepen reforms in the health sector, enhance regulatory oversight, and improve the overall quality of healthcare services through sustained investment in human resource development.
