Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo Celebrates Birthday with Donation to Pentecost Church at Akyem Adukrom

Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Board Chairman of the Ghana Cocoa Board and Political Adviser to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has marked his birthday by donating musical instruments and chairs to the The Church of Pentecost at Akyem Adukrom in the Eastern Region.

The thanksgiving service took place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Church of Pentecost auditorium in Akyem Adukrom.

Addressing the congregation during the service, Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo expressed gratitude to God for adding another year to his life. He noted that the celebration was particularly meaningful as it reminded him of how far God had brought him throughout his life’s journey.

According to him, he has been part of the Church of Pentecost since infancy and has remained committed to supporting the growth and activities of the church.

As part of the birthday celebration, he donated a full set of musical instruments to support worship activities in the church. In addition, he joined friends and associates to donate 200 chairs to improve seating capacity in the auditorium.

Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo revealed that his dedication to God and the church spans many years. He stated that he contributed to the construction of the church building at Akyem Adukrom and has continued to offer support in various forms over time.

He also disclosed that through his media platforms, Ahotor FM and Radio 1, he has provided free airtime to the Church of Pentecost for the past eight years to help promote the church’s activities.

The leadership and elders of the church expressed appreciation for the gesture and offered prayers for Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo, asking for long life, good health, and greater success in his endeavours. The church also presented him with two citations in recognition of his continued generosity and commitment to the church.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including the Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Awatey; the Municipal Chief Executive for Abuakwa South, Aikins Addo Junior; the Municipal Chief Executive for Abuakwa North, Charles Darko; and the Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South, Ransford Boakye.

Also present were representatives from the Office of the Vice President, members of the Church of Pentecost from Accra, the National Farmers and Fishermen Association led by Michael Tetteh, friends of Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo, and members of the media.

The event was marked by thanksgiving, prayers, and expressions of appreciation for Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo’s continued service to the church and society.
