Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah Joins Launch of Women’s Impact Initiative in Accra

The Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs and Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, has joined women leaders, diplomats and professionals at the Australian High Commission in Accra for the launch of the Newswire Africa Women’s Impact Circle.

The initiative, known as the Newswire Africa Women’s Impact Circle (NWAWIC), was launched in partnership with Newswire Africa to mark the celebration of International Women’s Day.
The programme seeks to expand mentorship, leadership opportunities and professional networks for women across Africa.

As part of the initiative, emerging female professionals will be connected with senior leaders through mentorship salons, leadership masterclasses, networking sessions and an annual Women’s Impact Summit.

Speaking at the launch, Hon. Sowah reaffirmed the importance of empowering women to take up leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to national and continental development.

The initiative is expected to create a platform that supports the growth and advancement of women across various professional fields while strengthening collaboration among female leaders on the continent.
