This is How the arrest of Obinim was reported in Pidgin

Not long ago, news of the arrest of the founder and leader of International God’s Way Church in West Africa, Senior Bishop Angel Obinim broke out and a lot of media stations reported in their own unique way.

However, the arrest was reported in pidgin as: “Police go Obinim in church your man dey do counselling. Dem show warrant say dem dey come arrest am. Obinim say give me 2 mins make I change come. Your man come back he say he sick so make dem carry am go hospital. Rn Obinim dey hospital for East Leg wey police dey in top.”

Apparently, what it means is that Police obtained arrest warrant to arrest Bishop Obinim so they went to his church and met him doing counseling. After showing him the arrest warrant, Angel Obinim asked for two minutes and when he came back Rev. Obinim told them he is sick so he was immediately taken to East Legon hospital with police still on guard.

As of now, nobody knows the reason behind the intent arrest.
