Former Ghana defender, Dan Quaye has advised budding footballers to not turn down an opportunity to play in China claiming that the game in the Asian country has advanced now and pays well too.

Quaye after having a distinguished spell with Hearts of Oak from 1999-2006 joined Chinese outfit Chongqing Lifang. He also represented other Chinese clubs like Yanbian FC and Beijing Baxy.

Recently, a former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey advised young players to turn down offers from China if they want to go far in their careers.

However Dan Quaye has stated a different opinion. In an interview with Citi TV, the former Great Olympics full back indicated the Chinese League has advanced now and the standard is high; more reason it houses more Brazilian players.
