Covid-19: Ghana Now 5th Most Hit Country In Africa But 12th Among Countries With More Death Toll

With a total of 1,207,644 confirmed cases in Africa, 28,337 souls have been lost while 934,207 patients have fully recovered or discharged.

As Africa is currently battling with 245,100 active cases, South Africa is the most hit country in Africa with a cumulative case counts of 613,017 with 13,308 total death, 520,381 recoveries and 79,328 active cases. Egypt is second most hit with 97,619 confirmed cases, 5,298 total death, 67,717 recoveries and battling with 24,604 active cases.

Morocco which is 3rd most hit in Africa has also recorded 54,528 active cases so far with 955 death, 38,293 recoveries or discharges and 15,280 active cases. The fourth most hit country in Africa is Nigeria which has a cumulative case counts of 52,800 with death toll of 1,007 and 39,964 recoveries while 11,829 cases are active now.

Ghana is one of of the few countries though recorded high number of cases but with high rate of recoveries. As of now Ghana which is 5th most hit in Africa has recorded 43,717 cumulative cases with a total death of 270 while 41,843 have fully recovered and now fighting with 1,604 active cases.

On the other hand, South Africa leads with total death toll with 13,308. Below is the list of the 15 African countries with most death;

In all, the world has recorded 24,083,507 with 823,917 deaths and 16,626,444 recoveries or discharges.
