Covid-19: Eastern Region Ranked Third Among Regions With Most Active Cases

With proper structures put in place to battle the deadly novel coronavirus pandemic, Covid-19 in Ghana, the nation seems to have control over the virus as the number of recovery increases in new cases drop.

Today, Ghana records 93 new cases which shoots up the total cases in Ghana to 44,298 with 42,963 as total recoveries or discharged. A total of 276 souls are lost as the country continues to battle with 1,059 active cases.

Greater Accra is the most hit with 22,057 but now contends with only 328 active cases. Out of the 10,843 cases recorded in Greater Kumasi, 240 active cases are being dealt with. Eastern region which is the fourth most hit with 2,294 is also battling with 214 active cases whereas the third most hit region, i.e. central region of 2,953 active cases is now fighting 108 active cases.

Four regions have no active cases now and they are; Upper east and west, Savannah and North East regions. The rest are;

Northern Region – 528
