Covid-19: 111 In Critical Condition As Ghana’s Death toll Hits 482

Even as Ghanaians thought 2021 would be so good and free from deadly novel Coronavirus pandemic, i.e. Covid-19, the first one and half months of the year has proven otherwise.
As of now, the total number of Covid-19 related deaths in Ghana is 482. While 335 were recorded from March 2020 to December 31 2020, a total of 147 deaths are recorded in a month and two weeks which forms 30.5% of the total death recorded and 2020 deaths form 69.5%.
Ghana was once praised as being able to contain and control the virus but seems to get out of hands this time around as the country battles with 6,938 active cases after recording 675 new cases.
So far, Ghana has a total of 73,003 accumulated cases with 65,583 recoveries while 111 are in serious or critical conditions.

Out of the about 31,465,548 total population, Ghana has run 814,434 tests and 73,003 turned to be positive.
As the nation tightens its restrictions in order to help mitigate the effects of the pandemic, the cummulative cases per the regions are as follows;
