William Amamoo Picks Black Stars 2006 And 2010 Squad As His Best Ghana Team

Former Ghana international goalkeeper William Amamoo has chosen the Black Stars 2006 and 2010 squad as the best team Ghana has assembled in recent times.

The Black Stars of Ghana have won the Africa Cup of Nations four times and has been runner-up on five more occasions.

Despite the galaxy of stars, the country paraded during the 1990’s it was in 2006 where the Ghana secured qualification to its first-ever world cup.

In an interview with Akonoba FM, William Amamoo rated the 2006 and 2010 squad as best team the country has paraded in recent times considering the number of achievements they chalked under then President of the FA, Kwasi Nyantakyi.

He has therefore lavished praises the former CAF first Vice President for his enormous contributions during his tenure.

“The 2006, 2010 team is the best squad we’ve assembled in recent times”

“Nyantakyi respected everyone in the team irrespective of the age”

William Amamoo kept the post when Ghana lost 4-3 to Japan in an international friendly and played a vital role in Ghana’s qualification to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
