A woman dies from Breast Cancer every 69 seconds

The President of Breast Care International, (BCI), Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addai, has disclosed that every 69 seconds a woman dies from breast around the world. Dr. Wiafe said this in an interview with Radio1 Breakfast Show ‘Susubiribi’ host Captain Kofi Owusu.
According to her, the death is cause by delay in seeking medical attention. The disease, Dr. Wiafe explained, is both “curable and survivable” on condition that patients report any breast abnormality to hospitals for treatment.
Dr. Wiafe further explained that breast cancer is not caused by super natural forces and challenged the media to consistently harp on the need for every adult female to carry out their own breast self -examination periodically.
She then ask women to correctly perform regular breast self-examination (BSE), and perform Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) free of charge.
