Lands Ministry And BoG Engage Ghana Power Of Mines Under Auspices Of The Economic Management Team

Officials of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources and its Agencies, Minerals Commission and Precious Minerals Marketing Company led by the Deputy Minister, Hon. George Mireku Duker and the Governor of Bank of Ghana (BoG), Dr. Ernest Addison has engaged the Ghana Chamber of Mines.
The engagement is at the behest of the Economic Management Team (EMT) chaired by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday, 9th August, 2022.
Discussions centered on the sale of portions of gold produced by the mining firms to BoG to support Ghana’s economy.
The parties agreed to continue engaging to achieve their mutual goal which they agree in principle was laudable.
