On the 13 of August 2017, in faraway United Kingdom, Shatta Wale, was crowned Artiste of the year at the 2017 African Pride Awards.

The Ghanaian was in the same category with Nigerian super stars like Wizkid, Davido, Mr Eazi, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage but he beat the odds to become the eventual winner at the event which took place at Royal London Hotel & Suites on the 13th August, 2017.

This year’s African Pride Awards happens to be the second edition of the scheme.
