Osaberima Attapiakorang Agyei II further advised young girls to remain focused on their education and avoid activities that could destroy their dreams and ambitions.

“They should concentrate on their books and become useful citizens in society,” the chief emphasized.

Meanwhile, the area midwife, Cynthia Dzigbidi, disclosed that about ten teenage pregnancy cases have been recorded in the community in recent times.

According to her, some of the affected girls have been abandoned and are struggling without support from the fathers of their children.

Madam Cynthia Dzigbidi called on traditional authorities, parents, guardians, health professionals, the Department of Social Welfare, and other stakeholders to intensify education on adolescent reproductive health and provide support systems for vulnerable children.

She stressed the importance of proper reproductive health education and parental guidance in helping to reduce the growing rate of teenage pregnancy in the area.

The Assembly Member for the area, Obiri Frentemfrem, also described the situation as worrying and called for urgent action through continuous public education and community support.

He noted that protecting the future of young girls must be a shared responsibility among parents, community leaders, and government institutions.
