The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of REPROCAN GHANA, Obed Asare Bediako has disclosed that, REPROCAN GHANA in collaboration with the Director of ASAD Construction Company Limited and other partners will organize a free health screening on the theme‘’I Am I Will’’on Sunday 17th February, 2019 at Akyem Kwabeng in the Atiwa West district of the Eastern Region for the people of the communityas part of activities of the organization’s social and corporate responsibility every year to mark the World Cancer Day.
‘’REPROCAN GHANA is a registered and certified Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that is recognized by the Registrar Generals Department (RGD) and Social Welfare in Ghana that organizes reproductive health awareness, delivers free medical care as well as other social services to institutions and individuals, especially to those in the deprived and hard to reach societies in the country and this is not the first time we are organizing such a program but it’s done regularly.’’ He noted.
“We have organized several free health screenings in the urban cities in the previous years but this year we saw the need to extend our service by reaching out to those in the rural communities to check on their health condition and also educate them on cancer”, he added.
Some of the services to be conducted are general health screening, breast, prostate and cervical cancer as well as BP, sugar, malaria, weight check and health education for those that will show up. He therefore advised people to be mindful of their health because healthy life promotes longevity.
