Menzgold Is A Fun Club – NPP Chairman

The First Vice Chairman of the Ruling New Patriotic Party in the Eastern Region, Alhaji Omar Bodinga has said the Menzgold is a Fun Club and has no connection to Bank of Ghana so people should stop associating government to the issue.

He made this known on Radio1fm 100.7MHZ Susubiribi Morning Show on 15th January 2019, when they were discussing the Menzgold and the responsibility of the government on the Saga.

According to Alhaji, the President, Nana Akufo-Addo promised to refund DKM customers their Money because it was a financial institution registered with BoG and has license to operation. He said if the National Democratic Congress, NDC is accusing the government of allowing Menzgold to defraud Ghanaians then their government is the highest government with fraudsters.

However, he said now that the customers have taken the matter to court, government can intervene and make sure they arrest NAM1 to know how he can refund their principal money to them.

He again said that the customers should know the agreement they signed with Menzgold, if the signed for Gold then they don’t have to demand for money rather Gold.

Alhaji concluded that the only thing the government can do to help the victim is to get NAM1 arrested and that’s what government is doing by issuing the warrant for his arrest and believe very well that the government has handled the matter as it should be properly handled.
