The Paramount Chief of Akyem AbuakwaTraditional Area, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin has advised the his fellow chiefs to embrace the 1 District, 1 Factory (1D 1F) flagship program initiated and implemented by the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party, NPP to help curb the unemployment menace in the region, especially in the Abuakwa traditional Area.
According to the renowned Paramount chief, the 1D,1F policy will help alleviate poverty and create jobs for the indigenous of Akyem Abukwa.
He made this known on Friday 12th October 2018, at the Ofori Panin fie in Kyebi during the 19th session of the Akyem Abuakwa State Council meeting.
A meeting that was intended to deliberate on his 19 years of enstoolment.
The meeting was very well attended and almost all the chiefs in the traditional area were present to deliberate on pertinent issues of the land and to see the way forward.
His majesty Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin used the opportunity to urge the chiefs to get fully involved in the flagship program for there are a lot of resources in the area that will demand these factories. He constantly reiterated that, hopefully by next year, in their council meeting, he would be glad if the chiefs would report to him on the progress of the 1D 1F in their catchment areas.
