Kennedy Agyapong does not deserve to be my friend – Muntaka Mubarak

The Member of Parliament (MP) of Asawase Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak says he can never be friends to his colleague for Assin Central Hon. Kennedy Agyapong because of how he conducts himself in Parliament.

“There are lots of my colleagues I have had hot exchanges with on the floor of parliament and even with them, I go to shake hands with after everything. Unfortunately Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is not the type I have friendship with already because of how he conducts himself”, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak revealed in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com

The two, severally have had heated arguments on the floor of parliament to a point, they nearly engage in fisticuffs over Muntaka’s decision to drag him before parliament’s privileges committee for denigrating parliament.

People have attributed their behaviour to the fact that they have a personal grudge which sometimes triggers their irreconcilable differences.

But during a studio discussion on Pure FM in Kumasi monitored by MyNewsGh.com’s Syxtus Eshun, Hon Muntaka insisted that he has nothing personal against his colleague legislator.

“I have no grudge with him. Maybe some may think otherwise but there is nothing like that. It’s just that we can’t be friends. I don’t have anything personal against him”. He noted.

The Minority Chief Whip further insisted, “if he (Kennedy Agyapong) says something that impugn on the integrity of Parliament, he will be dragged before the Privileges Committee”
