Residents of New Combine in Akosombo in the Asuogyaman district of the Eastern region are up in arms against the Volta River Authority following a disconnection notice to defaulting consumers.

The Concerned Citizens of New Combine and Five Other Communities is thus against what they call high electricity bills and the installation of new meters in their homes which they say read exhorbitantly leading to inordinately high bills.
