CAF Snubs Ghanaian Referees For 2017 Afcon

No Ghanaian referee made the shortlist for the 2017 Cup of Nations in Gabon.

This comes after the continents football governing body banned Ghanaian match official Joseph Lamptey for three months.

Lamptey was sanctioned by the Confederation of African football (CAF) after “manufacturing” a penalty for South Africa in a World Cup qualifier against Senegal.

The Immigration officer was expected to be the only Ghanaian to make the cut for the competition having officiated at the last edition in Equatorial Guinea.
