The 2016 edition of the annual Nkrakan Local Council of ChurchesYouth Games came to an end last Sunday.
The program which took place at the Nkrakan Presby School Park started on Wednesday 28th December to Sunday 31st December 2016 with so many sporting activities across the various sporting disciplines for both men and women.
The women Football finals was between The Voice of the Lord Church Ladies and the Church of Pentecost which ended in a draw but The Voice of the Lord Church won through penalty shoot-out on a 4-3 aggregate.
The Men finals too was another tough game between the Voice of the Lord and Apostolic which was goalless after 90minutes but The Voice won through penalties on a 4-3 aggregate.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Yilo Krobo, Hon. Andrews Sodah who was there to grace the occasion expressed his appreciation to the organizers for organizing such a program and hopes it will continue like that every year since it will bring unity and togetherness among the youth and the community as a whole.
The Special Guest of Honor for the program, Mr. Michael Ologo, who is the General Manager for Universal Multimedia disclosed in an interview with Radio1 Sports that the event was colorful but lacked sponsorship and he will therefore engage some co-operate institutions to come on board and support the games to have a better impact come 2017.
