Grant Was Wrong There Is Quality In GPL – Lugarusic

Asante Kotoko coach Zdravko Lugarusic has refuted claims that the Ghana premier lacks quality.

The local league in recent times has suffered from negative publicity with many attributing it to poor organisational structures by the FA.

Former Ghana coach Avram Grant failed to give many local players a chance in the Black Stars team claiming there is not enough quality.

But Zdravko Lugarusic insists the local game is full of quality which can provide great players to feed the black stars.

“The league is very competitive and it’s full of quality”

“For me, it was a bit funny when former black stars coach said there is nothing happening in Ghana league,” he told reporters.

“The league is full of talent and quality players of course what I was reading in the media last few years when I wasn’t there no, no, somebody was not saying the truth about the Ghana premier league” he added.
