Afriyie Acquah Ends Goal Drought Against Inter

Afriyie Acquah ended his 11-month goal drought as he scored in Torino’s 2-2 draw with Inter Milan on Saturday. The last time he scored was in a 5-1 win against Udinese on April 30, 2016.

The midfielder put his side into the lead with a sweet strike from the edge of the box on 59 minutes, after Daniele Baselli had cancelled Geoffrey Kondogbia’s early strike for the visitors inside the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

However, Antonio Candreva equalized three minutes later to steal a point for Inter as they stayed fifth on the Serie A log with 55 points.

Torino are in 10th spot with 40 points.

Acquah has played 13 times this season and made the line up six times. He was in the Ghana squad to the Africa Cup of Nations where the Black Stars finished in fourth place.
