Kumasi Police parades suspected criminals for identification

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has called on the public to partner in the fight against crime and robbery as part of measures to help reduce crime to the acceptable levels.

The Police Command arrested a number of suspected criminals within the past few days on suspicion for their involvement in various crimes perpetrated in the metropolis and other parts of the region.

As part of investigations, the command today paraded the suspected criminals for identification to afford victims of robberies and other violent crimes an opportunity to identify their assailants for prosecution.

Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ASP Juliana Obeng speaking to the media said the fight against crime is not just for the police service.

“Ghanaians should have a role to play when it comes to crime fighting in this country” she said.
